Time to fall in place with the Rythm and Beats of the City

I recently got a long email from a friend from Chennai. A pleasant suprise it was indeed. I generally check my mails on my six miniute trot to the Woodhaven Blvd MTA subway station. Well this mail slowed me down from a trot to a march. I had fallen out of beat.

For instance. Stepping out of the subway station at 6:56 am I see two steps ahead of me the bouncer (looks like one..the bald head ,huge chest and two large metal loops on his ears) on his way to a gym. I overtake him in a hurry towards my office. Only to be stuck at the crossing where he catches up with me and we cross together. I pull away from him. Take a quick left. To find my halal Kart man swinging in his truck to his usual spot. I look ahead few yards and the hopper ( his legs are diseased so he hops onto his left foot every other step) crosses my offices revolving door heading towards me. Quick nods and I cross the Hopper and turn into my office 4 Mins late for my 7 o clock.

Funny it happens every single day. :)

The city has a rythm to it. An intial sense of Deja'vu soon changes into a repetition of acts day in and day out. It might creep out some, but it Giveth me the warm and fuzzy with a Cup of hot chocolate that Runneth over.
